My Custom Pony Villain: Nebula Shade

Prince Nebula is the rightful heir to the Canterlot throne. In his younger years, he was unable to find his special talent and did not receive his curie mark. This resulted in years of torment by his fellow Equestrians.

One day, as he was taking a peaceful walk through the gardens, a young filly came up to him and made fun of the fact that he didn't have a cutie mark. Several other ponies had heard the young filly, and they gathered around and ridiculed the young prince. It was then that Nebula snapped, and in his anger he attacked his tormentors. But this action forced his parents to banish him from Equestria, and he fled into space. Shortly after his departure, Discord conquered Equestria.

As he wandered the cosmos, he reflected on what had happened back in Equestria. The more he thought about the ridicule he endured, the angrier he became, blackening his heart until the kind-hearted prince he once was was practically nonexistent. He now had no regard for any life, and he shed his royal title and changed his name to Nebula Shade.

The darkness in his heart continued to grow and grow, and soon it corrupted his very soul. It was at this point that his horn began to act with a mind of its own, and it created a silhouetted version of Nebula Shade that stood before him. Nebula stood face to face with his soul, but his horn wasn't done yet. The dark form it had conjured then changed into a black hole that began to consume everything around him. It was then that Nebula Shade realized that his special talent and purpose in life was to destroy everything he encountered, and at last he finally received his cutie mark.

As he spread death and destruction everywhere he went he slowly became insane. But though he lost his sanity, he somehow remained calm at all times. He had achieved some form of enlightenment, and he decided that it was time for him to return to Equestria and show those who had once ridiculed him how much he learned during his banishment.
